Partner at Sturgeon Capital
Kiyan Zandiyeh is a Partner at Sturgeon Capital where he is responsible for the firm’s Iran investments. Having launched in December 2015, the fund was the first to provide international investors access to Iranian markets. Sturgeon primarily invests in public equities and the seed round stage of Iranian start ups, where to date it has made three investments Prior to Sturgeon, Kiyan worked for the renowned economist, Nouriel Roubini, and previously worked at a number of hedge funds.
Kiyan has practical, grass-roots experience of the business environment in Iran, having founded and operated a business in the country. He sits on the board of a company producing offshore pipelines for the Oil & Gas Industry in addition to one of the start ups Sturgeon has invested in. He is a graduate of Imperial College Business School
